History and Facts: The Small Munsterlander has been around since the Middle Ages. However it was "rediscovered" in the 1900s.

Temperament / Behavior
Although it was originally developed as a bird dog, both selective and planned breeding has created a breed that is dependent on personality for survival. Thus, this is a breed that is happy, easily trained and somewhat carefree. Small Munsterlanders have an inborn instinct to retrieve and play. This breed is a devoted member of its family.
