History and Facts: The Norwich Terrier originated as a small ratting dog in England. It was able to get in and out of burrows easily because of its small size. During fox hunts, it was also utilized for bolting foxes.

Temperament / Behavior
Active and affectionate, the Norwich Terrier loves to be around people. Norwich Terriers have plenty of energy and need stimulation to keep occupied. Even though this dog is highly active, it is not prone to nervousness. This breed enjoys playing with toys and interacts well with other pets.

Hip dysplasia; genetic eye diseases; epilepsy; back problems

Special Needs
Exercise: Norwich Terriers are energetic little dogs. A daily walk is recommended.

Grooming: The Norwich Terrier has a medium length coat that needs frequent brushing. Bathe when necessary.
