History and Facts: Dating back to the 1600s, this dog was originally used herd cattle and for dog fighting.

Temperament / Behavior
The Cane Corso is an energetic, intelligent and loyal breed that can be aggressive toward strangers.

Breed-Related Health Concerns
Bloat; sensitivity to drugs (including anesthetics and insecticides). It is recommended that owners find a veterinarian that is familiar with Greyhounds and / or related breeds because their sensitivity to anesthetics can make routine surgeries more complicated.

Special Needs
Exercise: The Cane Corso requires daily vigorous exercise.

Grooming: The Cane Corso needs minimal grooming: occasional brushing and bathing.
