Bil-Jac Large Breed Puppy food has been carefully formulated for the care and nutrition of Large Breed Puppies. We’ve carefully balanced phosphorus and calcium and lowered the fat and protein vs. our standard Puppy Food. Large Breed Puppies need to guard against too rapid growth that can put a strain on their skeletal frame and joints. At the same time, the quality of food must remain very high, as what a Puppy misses in the development of organs and other critical parts of growing up, may never be replaced later in life. That’s why feeding your puppy the very highest nutrition during the critical early period of life is so essential.

Feeding Recommendations
We recommend a scheduled and portion-controlled method of feeding Bil-Jac Puppy Food. For young puppies weaning, 3 ½ to 4 ½ weeks old, moisten Bil-Jac with warm water. After weaning, until your puppy is 5 to 6 months old, divide the daily feeding recommendation into 3 meals per day. After 6 months, until your puppy reaches maturity, divide the daily feeding recommendation into 2 meals per day. Fresh water should be kept available at all times. Remember that while the daily feeding chart can serve as a guide, only you can accurately make the final decision. Many factors influence the nutritional needs of your puppy including breed, age, activity and environment.
