Let's Hear it for the Pups
March 23 is National Puppy Day! Perfect for spring, puppies bring joy and melt hearts across the nation. This special holiday was founded in 2006 by Animal Rescuer, Pet Expert and Author Colleen Paige, to encourage the safe and healthy adoption of puppies from animal shelters and humane societies.
Celebrate with Bil-Jac by sharing how you adopted your puppy and send us videos and photos of your special best friend. One lucky pup will be chosen at random to be featured in our April issue and to receive our new Yapple-Nana and PB-Nana treats! |

"Over the past month I had been having trouble with the eating habits of my two-year-old pure bread Chihuahua, Bandit. It seemed the more food I offered him, the less he seemed interested in eating. The vet suggested many things to get him to eat more food ... but no luck. I've always fed my dog(s) Bil Jac's Liver treats and biscuits and they couldn't get enough. So while shopping for dog food yesterday, I came across Bil-Jac Small Breed Select ... THE moment I put Bil-Jac in Bandit's bowl he began eating vigorously!!! THANK YOU so much for making high quality, affordable dog food that dogs LOVE!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I'll never buy anything else!"

Bil-Jac's teacher reporter, Jacinda Yonker, is back from Alaska and she's ready to tell us more about her adventure at the Iditarod. Check out new videos and photos of her trip and this amazing learning experience at Bil-Jac.com/Iditarod and Facebook.com/BilJacDogFood. We caught up with Jacinda and here's what she had to tell us about her experience:
Bil-Jac: What did you love most about your trip to the Iditarod?
Jacinda: My favorite part of the whole trip was reporting back for my students, family and all of you. I woke up every morning at 2:30 a.m., Alaskan time, to tell my daughter about what I had done the day before and update teachers. I loved learning about the Iditarod, its history and importance to the Alaskan culture. I loved the experience even more because through Bil-Jac's web site and Facebook I was able to share my learning experiences with everyone back home.
Bil-Jac: Tell us the most interesting thing you learned in Alaska?
Jacinda: Hmm, that's a tough one-I learned so much amazing information about both the race and the Alaskan culture.

Bil-Jac has been family owned and operated for more than 60 years. We'd like to invite all of you to learn a little bit more about how we got started and why your dog is really a member of our family. New book, Feeding Champions: The Story of Bil-Jac, The Life and Passion of Bill Kelly hits shelves on April 1, and shares the truly amazing story of how Bill Kelly combined his passion for canine nutrition with the unconventional processing style to create a winning product sold primarily by word of mouth.
