History and Facts: The breed originated in France during the 1600s, but was nearly extinct after the French Revolution. The breed was refreshed by breeding with the Swiss Hound. It is still somewhat rare and almost exclusively found in France or Switzerland.

Temperament / Behavior
The Porcelaine is an active breed that makes a friendly, loving companion, as well as a keen hunting dog.
