History and Facts: The breed originated in France during the Middle Ages, but nearly became extinct after WWI and WWII. Today the breed is still extremely rare; there are only about 5000 registered dogs in the world.

Temperament / Behavior
The Picardy Shepherd is a reliable and affectionate family dog that responds well to obedience training. It has been primarily bred as a good farm dog.
