History and Facts: The origin of the Glen of Imaal Terrier is unknown. However, the breed is named after a valley in eastern Ireland. It is the rarest of Ireland's Terriers.

Temperament / Behavior
Known as a fierce hunter, the Glen of Imaal Terrier was bred for dog fighting. Although today's breed is normally well-mannered and affectionate, it is known to snap unprovoked at strangers.

Excellent health record. No known hereditary conditions.

Exercise: The Glen of Imaal Terrier requires moderate exercise.

Grooming: Routine brushing is required for your Glen of Imaal Terrier. Needs stripping only twice a year.
