History and Facts: The exact heritage of the French Spaniel is unknown, although it is reputed to have roots in the Barbary Coast or have Danish roots .

Temperament / Behavior
The French Spaniel can be easily intimidated and will need gentle training. It is not a vocal breed and tends to function more like a Setter than a Spaniel. The French Spaniel is an active breed that interacts well with other animals.

Excellent health record. No known hereditary conditions.

Special Needs
Exercise: The French Spaniel is an active breed that requires several long walks and play sessions per day.

Grooming: Routine brushing and combing and occasional bathing is required for your French Spaniel.
